NY OMNY cards will be used to track you.

The #1 thing you can do is buy physical OMNY cards with cash and discard them after a month or two.

The worst thing you can do is tap your credit card at the turnstile.

Extra Credit

  1. Use two cards. Card 1: use only at your home station. Card 2: never use at your home station.
  2. Cover your face when buying card(s) and/or have a friend buy it.

Weaknesses

  1. Cameras in subway system can deanonymize your card, even if bought with cash. Video footage of your face can be automatically pulled using the timestamp and turnstile ID from when you swipe your card.
    • Mitigation: Defeat facial recognition.
